Choice 4. John 1-3 That Ye May Have Fellowship with Us and with God. Read 1 John 1:1-4.

Describe in writing John’s desire for those he wrote to. Study the following scripture references and them list what these verses teach about how we can come to know God better and have greater joy and fellowship with God:
He desires us to have fellowship with Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ so we will have joy.

1 John 1:8-10 – We must confess our sins, repent, and we will be forgiven.
1 John 2:3-6 – Keep His commandments
1 John 2:9-11; 3:11-19 – Love our family and Heavenly Father
1 John 2:15-17 – Love not the world
1 John 2:20-21, 27 – Be teachable
1 John 3:4-6 – Do not sin

Choose one of the ways to have greater joy and fellowship with God as you described it above, and write a paragraph explaining how you can better implement those principles in your life.

The scriptures that I liked the most was 1 John 2:15-17. In those scriptures it talks about how we must not love the things of the world because they are full of pride and lust. The world will pass way, but Heavenly Father will always be there and abide with you if you do his will. I think this is so important because the world is becoming more and more wicked. There comes a point in our life when we have to learn that the gospel is more than going to church; it is life. For me this came when I went to the temple for the first time. I realized the gospel is everything and I love it. Our Heavenly Father has given us everything to return to live with Him again. I hope I will be able to teach this principle to my children.
